Krystal Carter is a professionally trained birth and postpartum doula through ToLabor and MaternityWise, as well as a photographer specializing in pregnancy, birth, and beyond.
Krystal’s nurturing spirit showed up early in life and eventually led her to live in Africa, where she spent time with women and children in underserved communities—offering nutrition support and, just as importantly, sitting with them, listening, and learning through shared connection.
When she returned home, that heart for support only grew. Surrounded by strong, kind women through her own journey into motherhood, Krystal gave birth to four beautiful daughters—each with a birth story as unique as they are. Those experiences brought perspective, growth, and a calling she couldn’t ignore: to walk alongside others in their own sacred birth journeys.
After the loss of her third daughter, Krystal focused on grieving, healing, and caring for her family. That season deepened her compassion, and her daughter’s life continues to inspire her work with tenderness and strength.
Today, Krystal combines her love for storytelling and support as both a doula and photographer—holding space for families in vulnerable, beautiful moments and capturing their strength along the way, highlighting them as the true heroes!
Her goal is simple: that every client feels nurtured, seen, and empowered!
