Brittany Schmid is the co-founder and CEO of The Bunny Hive, a community-focused space created to bring families together through connection, play, learning, and meaningful experiences.
Brittany’s journey to The Bunny Hive began with her own transition into motherhood. After moving to Atlanta with a new baby and without an established community, she quickly realized how isolating those early years could feel. Alongside her best friend, Katy, who was navigating new motherhood from New York City, Brittany found herself longing for something more—a place where both children and grownups could feel welcomed, connected, and truly at home.
Through countless late-night texts and daily conversations, Brittany and Katy began dreaming about the kind of space they wished existed for their own families. They wanted somewhere beautiful and thoughtfully designed, but more importantly, somewhere that fostered genuine connection. A place where parents could meet one another, children could explore and grow, and no one had to feel like they were navigating parenthood alone.
That vision became The Bunny Hive. In 2019, Brittany and Katy opened their first studio in the Atlanta area, creating a space inspired by their children and rooted in the belief that community can make all the difference in the early years of parenthood.
What began as one studio and a shared dream has grown into a thriving community with 30 locations across the United States. As The Bunny Hive continues to expand, Brittany remains deeply committed to preserving the heart of what started it all: creating beautiful, welcoming spaces where families can find connection and a true sense of belonging.
As The Bunny Hive has grown, so has Brittany’s own family. She is now a mom of three—Jack, Harry, and Lottie—and understands firsthand the beautiful, busy, and sometimes overwhelming reality of raising little ones. Her experience as a mother continues to shape the way she thinks about The Bunny Hive and the families it serves.
Today, Brittany pours her heart into creating spaces where families can gather, connect, and feel a true sense of belonging. She believes that childhood should be celebrated, parents should feel supported, and community should be accessible from the very beginning.
Her goal is simple: to create a place where every family feels welcomed, every child feels celebrated, and everyone who walks through The Bunny Hive doors feels a little more connected than when they arrived.
